A 44-year-old man who allegedly blew more than twice the legal blood alcohol limit has been hit with multiple charges after he was caught riding on a lawnmower in Bennett Springs.
Traffic Enforcement Group officers were on patrol about 3.15pm on Sunday when they observed a male on a ride-on lawnmower travelling along a footpath on Beechboro Road.
Police said the lawnmower was not capable of being registered and was not suitable to be ridden on the road.
They also alleged the man had been drinking alcohol, after he provided a breath test reading of 0.106, and his licence had also been disqualified.
The Eden Hill man will be summonsed to appear at the Midland Magistrates Court on November 18 to face charges of no authority to drive, excess 0.08 per cent and drive vehicle not capable of being registered.
