Elfenbrook Christmas Parade: fun takes over

Montana ArdonThe Advocate

More than 7000 people from far and wide flocked to the area for Christmas in Elfenbrook celebrations, organised by the newly-formed Ellenbrook Community Collective.

City of Swan councillor Cate McCullough, who is part of the group, said the day was a huge success.

“People loved the range of market stalls, the selections of children’s and youth activities and the range of performers for our centre stage program,” she said.

“The pageant was fantastic and the edges of the roads were packed with people.”

The Ellenbrook ward councillor said the closing act – a band of local brothers who were finalists in last year’s X Factor – was a big hit as well.

“The Fisher Boys were fabulous,” she said.

“They were dynamic and engaging and all ages loved them.

Ms McCullough said most importantly, the event helped local business.

“Businesses are thrilled with the support and activation that they had throughout the day, and into the night for local eateries, which was a priority for us.”
