THE newly formed Ellenbrook and Districts Ratepayers and Residents Association will meet for the first time next week.
Resident Adrian Clarke said the community needed one united voice and hoped the new association would be able to help resolve issues facing residents.
Mr Clarke said Ellenbrook had many Facebook pages but no group or association that was dedicated to making a difference.
“I wanted to bring people together so we could look at these issues and how we could resolve them, rather than just talking about it on social media,” he said.
Mr Clarke said one of the issues facing residents was hooning and anti-social behaviour.
“I’m trying to encourage residents to report it, otherwise the authorities don’t know what’s happening and nothing can be done,” he said.
“If we have a united voice and work with the state and local governments and police, we can do something to address the issues.”
The first meeting will be held on May 8 at Aveley Secondary College from 7.30pm.
