Ellenbrook cafe to raise money for Purple Bra Day

ELLENBROOK’S Café Bell will be decorated with purple bras this Sunday to raise money for Breast Cancer Care WA.

The cafe will have face painting, cupcakes for sale, slow cooked roast beef and gravy rolls and a raffle in the hope of raising much needed funds for breast cancer.

Cafe owner Anna Bell knows how invaluable the work of Breast Cancer Care WA is, following a battle with breast cancer herself.

She said thankfully she was in remission now but wanted to do something to give back.

“It is my privilege to be able to support this organisation,” she said.

Part proceeds from food sold and the raffle will go towards the organisation, with local businesses getting behind the fundraiser.

“Hair on the Boulevard, Woolworths, Coles, IGA, Bali Spirit, Spud Shed Wangara and so many other businesses have donated prizes and vouchers for the fundraiser,” she said.

“It’s so nice to have the community get behind us and we hope people will come and celebrate with us on Sunday and help us raise money.”

The Cafe Bell Funday fundraiser will be held from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Sunday June 24.
