Along with the new name, the centre welcomed the addition of Pet Stock, The Cheesecake Shop, First Choice Liquor, Vetwest and Snap Fitness to its new external development, as well as Aldi, which is due to open later this month.

Centre manager Roisin McDonagh said the name change reflected the Centre’s new vision.

“We are more than a destination for shopping; we are a place where people visit, belong, connect and work,” she said.

“At Ellenbrook Central we’re looking forward to an exciting future as part of the Vicinity Centres family.”

A family fun day will take place on Saturday, November 26, to celebrate the opening of Aldi and the new development.

“We also hope it will bring the community together for one huge celebration,” Ms McDonagh said.

“There will be a carnival theme to the free day with a merry go round, rides, games with prizes, a handball competition, community acts, face painters, fairy floss, balloon twisters, a circus workshop, roaming entertainers and more.”
