Exhibitions: local photographers bringing work to life in joint exhibition

TWO award winning Perth photographers are bringing their work to life with a joint exhibition this month.

Kelly Barker, of Burns Beach, and Norma Schwind, of Ellenbrook will present Expressions from September 9 to 24 in the hope of projecting their photography into an art sphere.

The exhibition will highlight 20 different artworks made up of several photographic images to create thought provoking pieces.

“Photography still isn’t seen as an art form in some circumstances,” Barker said.

“We would like to present photography in a completely different light.

“My camera is my private portal to allow the world to see a personal side of me that influences my unique creations.

“I love bringing together a technical side and a creative side and watching the magic appear.”
