Facilities welcomed

The official opening will be held on March 14 but groups have already started using the facility.

City of Swan Mayor Charlie Zannino said the City had built the facility to meet the needs of the suburb’s growing population.

‘The Aveley Community Building will provide junior sporting amenities to support the junior playing field, as well as a functions hall, clubroom, store areas, kiosks and meeting spaces,’ he said.

‘The works also included landscaping and new car parking to complement the adjacent Aveley Oval.
