The official opening will be held on March 14 but groups have already started using the facility.
City of Swan Mayor Charlie Zannino said the City had built the facility to meet the needs of the suburb’s growing population.
‘The Aveley Community Building will provide junior sporting amenities to support the junior playing field, as well as a functions hall, clubroom, store areas, kiosks and meeting spaces,’ he said.
‘The works also included landscaping and new car parking to complement the adjacent Aveley Oval.
‘This has been a $2.28 million project and the City was very pleased to receive $450,000 in funding from Lotterywest.’
Ellenbrook ward councillor David McDonnell said five groups had already made regular bookings to use the hall.
