MORE than 1000 primary students descended on Whiteman Park recently for the annual Children’s Gnangara Groundwater Festival.

The event, now in its 14th year, included 18 workshop topics and activities teaching kids how to conserve water resources.

The festival was a collaboration between the Water Corporation, Department of Water and environmental professionals representing government agencies, environmental organisations, higher education and private business.
