‘I tackled about 600km, which isn’t your average Sunday ride, but the results are well worth the effort,’ he said.

The funds raised through Cycle for Change will help deliver child development, education and medical programs.

Awareness Cambodia was one of the first international aid organisations to establish programs for orphans in Cambodia.

With the aim of rebuilding Cambodia’s children, the not-for-profit organisation rescues orphans from abject poverty and exploitation and educates them, providing shelter, care, support and, most importantly hope for the future.

‘With Swan Christian College’s support we are able to provide much-needed services in Cambodia’s poorest province,’ he said.

‘Our long-term programs are making real differences in the lives of children and in their community. It is a role that we relish and our achievements are due to the support of our partners. The school’s contribution is invaluable.’ Proceeds from the fundraiser also go toward international charities the Kantolomba Project (Zambia) and Hagar (Cambodia).
