The City of Swan and the Swan Valley Rotary Club will host the Swan Valley Outdoor Movie Night next Friday night at Baskerville Oval.

The free family-friendly event will be showing the movie Finding Dory, with a gourmet sausage sizzle and ice cream on offer.

Councillor Darryl Trease said he encouraged locals to take advantage of the free event and plan a night out with their family and friends.

“It’s a great chance for local families to relax, spend some time with their family and get involved in a community event,” he said.

“The city and Council work hard to provide a varied and interesting calendar of events each summer and movie nights like this are at the top of my list.”

The event is the first in a long list of events being held by the city this month, including Hyperfest 2017, Swan Valley unearthed and Folks and Roots @ Guildford.

The Swan Valley Outdoor Movie Night will kick off from 5.30pm, with the movie commencing at 7pm February 17 at Baskerville Oval.

People are asked to bring picnic blankets and low back chairs.

The event is alcohol and smoke free
