Gnangara Road upgrade works now a step closer

A logging machine began clearing trees beside the road, west of Beechboro Road North, last week.

Both houses of State Parliament passed the legislation that allows City of Swan to remove part of the pine plantation.

The first stage of the dual carriageway upgrades will be from Drumpellier Drive in Ellenbrook, to Beechboro Road North.

The stage also includes a new intersection at Beechboro Road North, where temporary traffic lights have been blamed for an increase in the number of accidents. The remaining stage two works ” between Beechboro Road North and Alexander Drive ” are expected to be completed during the 2016-17 financial year.
