GoFundMe page set up for dead Ellenbrook mother and children

Staff WriterThe Advocate

A FRIEND of the mother found dead in Ellenbrook on Sunday morning has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral costs and assist her surviving children.

The 48-year-old woman was found dead along with her eight-year-old son at an Ellenbrook home, while her 15-year-old daughter was found in the backyard with critical injuries and was rushed to hospital but later died.

A 19-year-old man has since been charged with their murder.

Toni Ata organised the GoFundMe page, which has a goal of raising $15,000.

“Help us raise some much needed funds and relieve just a little of the load her surviving kids now have on their shoulders,” Ms Ata wrote.

“(She) was my friend, she was kind, happy, loved her kids, all of them unconditionally.

“Having been in the position where I’ve had to organise funerals before, I know how expensive that can be.

“I also know that her surviving children can’t afford a funeral, or a casket, let alone three.

“So many of my friends have offered to help in anyway they can. This is how you can.”
