A NEW school will be built in Aveley under the Liberal Government after the State Government committed $17.3 million to the project.

The State Government announced funding for Aveley North Primary School last week, with planning to start immediately.

“Confidence in public schools continues to grow and we are responding to this demand by building new schools in growing suburbs, such as Aveley,” he said.

“The new $17.3 million primary school will see students learn in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with all the technology for a 21st century education.”

Aveley North Primary School will open its doors in 2019, with a capacity to cater to 540 students.

Mr Alban said the new school would ease enrolment pressures on Aveley Primary School and Ellen Stirling Primary School.

“Our early learners will have a head start, with kindergarten and pre-primary facilities available from as early as next year,” he said.
