‘This long awaited safety initiative, used by many as the entry to the expanding districts of Aveley, Ellenbrook and The Vines, is a great asset to the region,’ he said.
‘This project now has the provision for future expansion to the south, meaning these intersection upgrades won’t just benefit us immediately upon completion, but will continue to be beneficial and relevant for the region well into the future.’
While the project was initially expected to cost about $2 million, due to complications with relocation of services, the cost has blown out to $8 million because of the larger scale of the project.
