Local businesses can get Federal Govt support for young job seekers

Lucy JarvisThe Advocate

BUSINESSES can get Federal Government support to create positions for young job seekers.

Pearce MHR Christian Porter said changes to wage subsidies through the jobactive PaTH program, due to roll out in April, would help local businesses grow.

“Financial incentives of up to $10,000 are available to encourage businesses to employ new staff which will help our local economy and in turn, create more jobs,” he said.

“These incentives are being improved to support more local employers to hire more workers.
