Man in critical condition after pub attack

A MAN was left in critical condition and offenders still on the run after an assault at an Ellenbrook pub last night.

Police said a man in his mid 20s was assaulted at the Brook Bar and Bistro on Main Street just after 6pm.

The victim received head injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.

A Royal Perth Hospital spokesperson said he was in a critical condition.

Police said the offender or offenders then left the premises.

A man was jailed over a fight which caused the death of a patron outside the same pub last year.

Police would like to speak to anyone that witnessed the incident or has information that may help identify those involved.
