Man stable after Henley Brook stabbing

A MAN is in a stable condition after he was allegedly stabbed by his friend in Henley Brook overnight.

The incident occurred at 7pm on Brumby Avenue last night after the pair became lost while driving.

Following an argument, the 41-year-old victim received several laceration wounds to his body before he escaped and sought help.

The 43-year-old assailant locked himself in the car and smashed the windscreen and a window with a brick, before police arrived and apprehended him.

St John Ambulance paramedics took the victim to Royal Perth Hospital. A Royal Perth Hospital spokeswoman confirmed the victim was stable this morning.

The 43-year-old Lockridge man has been charged with unlawful wounding, criminal damage and threatening police.

He will appear before Midland Magistrates Court this morning
