Fresh from winning champion beer at the Australian International Beer awards earlier in the year, Mash now claims the Champion Draught Beer crown for its Russell brew.

The American-style amber ale packs a hop punch behind solid malt sweetness, overall likened to Jaffa cakes due to its chocolate and orange characteristics.

Mash’s Copy Cat American India Pale Ale also picked up a silver medal.

Chief judge Neal Cameron said the quality of brews was an impressive sign of the continued drive for excellence in the Australian industry.

‘The Champion Draught Beer was a clear winner and well deserved,’ he said.
