Mash bags top draught prize

Fresh from winning champion beer at the Australian International Beer awards earlier in the year, Mash now claims the Champion Draught Beer crown for its Russell brew.

The American-style amber ale packs a hop punch behind solid malt sweetness, overall likened to Jaffa cakes due to its chocolate and orange characteristics.

Mash’s Copy Cat American India Pale Ale also picked up a silver medal.

Chief judge Neal Cameron said the quality of brews was an impressive sign of the continued drive for excellence in the Australian industry.

‘The Champion Draught Beer was a clear winner and well deserved,’ he said.
