Men charged over pub assault

TWO men have been charged over an incident at an Ellenbrook pub that left another man fighting for his life.

Police said a man in his mid 20s had been assaulted and received head injuries at the Brook Bar and Bistro on Tuesday night.

The offenders allegedly left the scene after the assault at 6pm.

A Royal Perth Hospital spokesperson said the victim was in a critical condition.

A 28-year-old man from Henley Brook has been charged with one count of Common assault.

He is due to appear in Midland Magistrates Court on September 24.

A 36-year-old man from Ellenbrook has been charged with one count of with intent to harm, did an act causing bodily harm.

He is due to appear in Midland Magistrates Court today.
