Midland midwifery manager a finalist at WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards

ST John of God Midland Public and Private Hospital midwifery manager Julie Rakic has been named a finalist in the 2017 WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards.

Ms Rakic is one of four contenders for the Excellence in Midwifery category, with winners to be announced at a gala ball at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 6.

Nursing director for the Midland hospital, Jeffrey Williams, said he was delighted to see her efforts and professionalism recognised.

“Julie played an integral role in establishing the maternity services at the hospital prior to its opening and ensures it run smoothly on a daily basis,” he said.

The awards recognise excellence among WA nurses and midwives.
