More than 400 coffees were sold for $1 |on the day, almost double the usual |number.

Owner Celeste Light said she put the success of the franchise – within The Shops at Ellenbrook – down to knowing her customers.

“It’s important to remember everyone’s name and their usual order,” she said.

“You have to make them feel special and important.”

The store made more than 100,000 coffees last year, with Ms Light winning the 2015 Muffin Break barista competition.

“It wasn’t until I started drinking coffee that my passion for coffee grew,” she said.

“There is always something to learn about coffee and there is an art to making it.”
