A NEW $3 million park in Aveley will provide engagement for both children and adults when it opens in May.

The 6.7ha Aviary Creek Park will feature a giant water wheel with slides, a yoga platform, a bocce court and boardwalks along the water’s edge, giving parents some zen zones to enjoy while their children play.

Stockland WA general manager residential Col Dutton said the innovative park would be built around two natural lake systems.

“We have worked hard to create a one-of-a-kind space that will set the bar for interactive community spaces, while paying homage to the surrounding environment and the area’s history,” he said.

“Cutting edge facilities are a vital component of Stockland’s master planned communities and we are delighted to see this outstanding park take shape.

“We expect it to be a drawcard for families across Perth as it offers something for everyone, whether you want a relaxing and scenic place to practice yoga or go for a jog, a fun-filled space for the kids to play or to take a stroll along the boardwalks that stretch onto one of the lakes.”

The park will be located along Aviary Creek in Stockland’s Vale residential community in Aveley.
