Pearce MHR encourages community groups to apply for grants to honour military history

Lynn GriersonThe Advocate

COMMUNITY groups that seek to honour the nation’s military history can apply for government grants in support of their projects.

Social Services Minister Christian Porter said the Department of Veterans’ Affairs last year awarded more than $33,000 to community groups in the Pearce electorate.

“Any group can apply for grant funding towards activities that assist the health and quality of life of our veterans or commemorative projects that honour our military history,” he said.
