Police charge man from The Vines after Aveley shooting

MIDLAND detectives have charged a man in relation to a shooting in Aveley.

The man drove on to a property on Millhouse Road on December 27 allegedly in possession of a firearm, which he fired through a glass sliding door.

Police said the man knew the person inside the house.

Despite the glass shattering on impact with the bullet, the man inside the house only received minor injuries.

The man with the ammunition allegedly drove off and police later attended an address in The Vines, where he was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
