Police hunt two men over serious assault in Dayton

MIDLAND detectives are seeking information about a serious assault that happened in Dayton last month, where a 31-year-old man was seriously injured.

At about 2am on December 22, the man was walking along St Leonards Boulevard, when two men allegedly approached him and threw him to the ground.

It is alleged the men then kicked him in the head and one man stomped on his head, before the victim managed to run away.

The man received a broken nose, chipped teeth, a crush larynx – as well as bruising and lacerations.

Police are looking to speak with a man described as around 175cm tall, solid build, between 25 to 27 years of age, with fair skin, light brown hair and an Australian accent.

He was believed to be wearing a dark green Nike shirt at the time of the incident.

The other man is described as being tall, athletic build, between 25 to 27 years old, dark complexion, short black hair with dark eyes, and was believed to be wearing a white top at the time.
