Police investigate Bindoon crash on New Year’s Day

GINGIN Police are seeking information from members of the public in relation to a crash on Great Northern Highway near Bindoon about 8.50am today.

According to police, a purple Daihatsu Charade hatchback left the Great Northern Highway near the Wandena Road intersection about 6km south of the Bindoon town site, hit a tree and rolled onto its roof on January 1.

Following the crash a man (32) was taken to St John of God Hospital in Midland with facial injuries.

Two children – a three-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy – who were in the car at the time escaped unhurt.

Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
