POLICE are investigating after a man knocked on the door of a random house in Aveley last night to get help for a knife wound.

A statement from WA Police said the man knocked on the door of a Millhouse Road home at about 1.30am to get help for a knife wound on his arm.

The man did not know the people living at the house.

Plice believe the man walked from a nearby property on Duvall Parkway where he had been involved in a fight with another man.
