THE Swan Valley’s popular Twilight Concerts at Upper Reach Winery in Baskerville will be back for their 15th year this summer to celebrate the new wine vintage.

Upper Reach owner Laura Pearse said she and her winemaker husband Derek looked forward to the concert season each year as a way of supporting local Perth musicians and celebrating the year’s vintage.

“The Twilight Concerts are my favourite nights of the year, it’s fantastic to see so many people having a really great time,” she said.

“The concerts are a great way to enjoy a summer evening with a picnic and as the sun sets you’ll be up and dancing to the music.

“The 2019 vintage has had a fabulous start with a long, cool spring, which will help make the four concerts even more of a celebration.”

Mrs Pearse said the focus for the concerts in February and March would be on up-beat, ‘get up and dance’ style music from the jazz and blues era.

The first of the summer concerts will be Nueva Salsa with its Cuban salsa music, cha cha and samba playing on Saturday, February 2.

Libby Hammer Quintet will play its cabaret jazz, swing and soul music on Saturday, February 16.

The Soul Playboys and Adam Hall will be playing soul music on Saturday, March 2. Hall will return with the Velvet Playboys on Saturday, March 16.

Tickets $40 per person, free admission for children under four and $18 for five to 17-year-olds.

Food and wine packages are also available.
