Porter in call to boost Xmas donations to Salvos

CHRISTMAS is one of the busiest times of year and when people who are experiencing hardship feel it the most.

Pearce MHR Christian Porter’s office in Ellenbrook is a Salvation Army collection point for donations of non-perishable food items.

“Christmas is an exceptionally busy time for The Salvation Army and they need donations,” Mr Porter said.

“You can give hope where it is needed by collecting and donating non-perishable food items for people who need it most. Your gift will help The Salvation Army provide food hampers for Christmas and help spread the Christmas cheer.”

Suggested non-perishable food items and groceries urgently required for Christmas include tinned foods, tinned fruit/fruit salad, tinned vegetables, packet and tinned soups, tinned spaghetti and baked beans, tinned tuna and other fish, tinned ham, long-life milk, tea, coffee, sugar, cordials and soft drinks.
