Purple haze hits school

Staff ReporterThe Advocate

The Ellenbrook school held a Purple Haze Day in March to raise funds for The Starlight Foundation, reaching $1771 for the cause with a free dress day and fashion parade.

Each school that raised cash was automatically entered into a competition to win a free workshop run by the Dockers for 100 of their students.

Ellen Stirling raised the highest amount for the second year in a row.

Four Dockers recruits ” Michael Wood, Tom Vandeleur, Jacob Ballard and Brady Grey ” visited the school along with Dockers staff and thrilled the students as they put them through their paces over four training stations on the school oval.

At the end of the workshop, the children were each presented with signed posters.

Four students were also picked by the players to receive a signed football each.
