PERTH Glory captain Rostyn Griffiths and his team-mates will be having a quiet Christmas this year, as the team is flying out on Boxing Day.
Griffiths told The Advocate he would spend Christmas with his family “and open up my presents from Mum and Dad – and Santa”.
Midfielder Brandon Wilson has spent the past two years playing in England, so a hot Christmas will be a welcome change.
“Usually I would hit the beach with my parents but they are up north… I will have a quiet one in my little apartment, might see some close mates,” he said.
Glory will fly out on December 26 and face Melbourne City at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium for a night match on December 27.
