The survey will be considered in conjunction with the Wheatbelt Integrated Regional Aged Care Plan ” a partnership between the Wheatbelt Development Commission, the WA Country Health Service’s Southern Inland Health Initiative and Local Government.
The survey revealed 81 per cent of respondents were aged over 55 and more than 75 per cent of them would like the option of being able to purchase or rent an independent living unit within the Shire.
The Shire will use the full summary of the survey results for future planning and when liaising with prospective service providers.
