Search for missing Perth grandma continues

POLICE and SES volunteers are continuing the search for a Perth woman who has been missing for a fortnight.

The search for Mary Nix will continue today, with local police officers, mounted section, Regional Operations Group and SES volunteers involved.

Emergency services are focusing on the rural area of Bindoon, where police found her abandoned car on Teatree Rd, 70km north of where she was last seen.

SES volunteers, SES mounted personnel and 2 SES tracker dogs and their handlers scoured the area at the weekend but found no trace of Ms Nix.

The 69-year-old woman was reported missing by her neighbours in Perth’s north-east after they realised her dogs weren’t being looked after.

Local residents are being asked to check their sheds and out-buildings.
