SWAN Valley rehabilitation centre Shalom House has been named as a finalist for the 2017 Telstra Western Australian Business Awards.

The not-for-profit organisation is nominated under the charity category of the awards, which was won by the Cystic Fibrosis Federation of WA last year.

Shalom House founder and chief executive Peter Lyndon-James said it was a great honour to be nominated.

“It is an honour and a privilege to be chosen as a finalist of the Telstra Western Australian Business of the Year Awards for 2017,” he said.

“It is a true testament to the team effort of the 50-plus staff and volunteers that make up the Shalom House team.

“Shalom House has been operating for only four-and-a- half years, but the impact that it has had not only on the lives of men but also on the lives of countless families within our program and the general community as a whole has been tremendous.

“It is very humbling to have this recognised by a business such as Telstra, which is a highly respected organisation within not just the community but across the country and the globe.”

The Telstra Business Awards will be held on Friday night at Crown Perth.
