Applications are now open for the ‘Thank a Volunteer Day’ Celebration Grants program in the Swan Hills, ahead of ‘Thank a Volunteer Day’ on December 5.
“Funding of up to $1000 is available for community organisations and local governments to organise events that recognise the contributions of West Australian volunteers,” Seniors and Volunteering Minister Tony Simpson said.
Research commissioned by Volunteering WA last year found that if treated as a sector in its own right, volunteering is WA’s largest industry by employment.
