SWAN Valley Anglican Community School celebrated its 10th anniversary last Thursday.
Members of the school community used the day to reflect on the school’s past, as well as celebrate how the Aveley school had evolved in the last decade.
A service with more than 50 special guests of the school was held at the beginning of the day, where the new school hymn was sung for the first time as a whole school.
Principal Jason Bartell said it was a special time for the school community.
“It is how we are with one another that will profoundly affect our own lives and the lives of people to come,” he said.
“As we commemorate each year those who have made a contribution in the past to our present, we too will be remembered by those of this school community, for the contribution that each of us has made to the foundation of their school.”
