Swan Valley Anglican Community School students participate in Neighbour Day activity

Swan Valley Anglican Community School music students performed for residents of The Pines retirement village before they mingled over afternoon tea.

The day is a national initiative aimed at fostering social connections.

Resident Harvey Bates said it was one of many community events hosted by the village.

“There’s always something to do here, including events like Neighbour Day where we can sit amongst friends and meet new neighbours,” he said.

“It’s a real sense of community here.”
