Swan Valley Anglican Community School has collected donations of tinned foods and clothing to support people in need.

The school donated over 70kg of tinned food, plus blankets, beanies, socks and jackets to the Ascension Emergency Food Relief on Sunday.

Community Relations Officer Candide Loos said the centre was extremely grateful for the donations, which was part of their regular Friday outreach program.

“Compassion and service are two of the core values here at Swan Valley Anglican Community School and we aspire to put faith into actions for our students and the community,” she said.

“In today’s harsh world, we encourage students and provide them with the opportunity to serve.”
