THE Swan Valley has been announced as the host of the 2018 National Polocrosse Championships.
It is the fourth time in almost 40 years that WA has hosted the event, with this year set to be special with the Championships celebrating its golden jubilee.
The event is expected to attract more than 1500 visitors to Perth, with 570 players from all over the world set to take part in the seven-day event at the State Equestrian Centre.

READ NOWTourism Minister Paul Papalia said he was looking forward to hosting visitors for the event and showcasing how much Perth had changed in the past 10 years, since the championships were last held here.
“Mass participation events such as this attract visitors to the state, which helps to fill hotel rooms, creates jobs and makes a contribution to the $10.1 billion tourism industry through visitor spend,” he said.
“I would like to wish all players the best of luck when they compete in the championships this year, and encourage everyone to explore our extraordinary city and state.”
The Swan Valley National Polocrosse Championships will be held from October 1-7.
