Wilburn will represent Australia in the championships and also go to Vancouver, Canada for the Sky International Cheerleading competition.
The Starz Elite team of 21 will compete in the prestigious Level 5 all-girl cheerleading category for those aged between 14 and 35 years.
This will pit them against highly experienced teams. The Aussie girls last year won a chance to compete at the 2015 US All Star Federation Cheerleading World Championships in Orlando from April 25 to 27.
Starz Elite is the first team from Australia at level 5 to be invited into the competition.
Wilburn said the crew was honoured to be the first group to represent their country at level 5.
This is the most prestigious competition in which we have ever competed, she said.
The team has been training four days a week for up to 10 hours in preparation for the championships. Follow its journey at tinyurl.com/ pwpo2u4.
