A TEENAGE driver of a stolen ute with false registration plates led police on a chase through Gidgegannup on Tuesday morning.
Mundaring police attempted to stop the Toyota Landcruiser on Copley Dale Road about 10.45am, but the driver failed to stop and escaped.
Police spotted the vehicle again about 20 minutes later on Utah Road, where it again led police on a pursuit.
The driver eventually became bogged on farmland off Fernie Road.
An 18-year-old Embleton man was charged with stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving and no authority to drive.
Midland Detectives are conducting further inquiries in relation to the stolen vehicle.
