SPECIALIST cancer and palliative care nurse Violet Platt has spent the past three decades dedicated to making the experiences of cancer patients as positive as possible.

The Vines resident and nursing director at the WA Cancer and Palliative Care Network was rewarded with a Lifetime Achievement Honour at the annual WA Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards last week.

WA Chief Nurse and Midwifery Officer Karen Bradley said Professor Platt was a well-deserving recipient.
