WATER Corporation will almost halve charges for new water connections to residential subdivisions.
Changes will come into effect on July 1, resulting in infrastructure contributions charged to developers dropping from $4064 per lot to $2150 – a 47 per cent |decrease.
“This reduction reflects the decrease in the costs incurred by the Water Corporation to provide water supply infrastructure,” Water Minister Mia Davies said. “The corporation has been working closely with the development industry and this is a great outcome for new housing sub-|divisions across WA.”
Standard infrastructure contributions are one-off charges paid by developers when subdividing or creating new lots or buildings with a service demand greater than a single residence. For more information, visit www.water corporation.com.au.
