Weeding out advice for local gardens

Sustainability guru Chris Ferriera, from The Forever Project, gave residents expert advice on getting the most out of their garden, tips and tricks for edible plants and lessons in healthy recipes.

Mr Ferriera said Perth gardeners needed to get more in-tune with where they lived and adapt gardening habits and products to suit the Perth climate.

"In WA we're dealing with the worst soils in the world and we've got three options " give up, create a garden that uses too much water and nutrients, or use the less is more principle and garden sustainably," he said.
