New tennis programs have been created to accommodate additional players, with more than 80 children now participating across various classes.

Lee Benporath (7), brother Drew (6) and Nathan Schepelius (7) took part in a French Open-style tournament at the State Tennis Centre recently.

It was a family final in the Red Ball level, with Lee winning and Drew finishing runner-up.

‘These students have shown tremendous improvement since starting at The Academy and it is fantastic to see their hard work paying off,’ Mr Pantoja said.

The boys will also participate in the MLC Tennis Hot Shots Tournament at the State Tennis Centre next month.

The Academy is involved in the Tennis Australia school partnership program and is linked with Ellen Stirling, Arbor Grove and Aveley primary schools.
