Basketball: Perth Lynx’s Whitcomb signs with WNBA team Seattle Storm

PERTH Lynx’s American professional player Sami Whitcomb has signed with the Seattle Storm of the WNBA, and will join the team at the end of the WNBL season.

Enjoying an MVP calibre season, Whitcomb’s performances for the Perth Lynx have caught the eye of WNBA scouts, with the star former Rockingham Flames guard set to attend Storm training camp looking to secure a permanent contract with the club.

Whitcomb averages a league-leading 24.1 points per game with the Lynx this season, adding 4.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.8 steals per outing.
