Brook down 5-1 to Forrestfield

Coming off the back of a surprise defeat at home to Kingsway Olympic, the boys were looking to bounce back with an upset win.

However, despite some good football for periods of the game, a series of errors allowed a well-drilled home side to record an effortless 5-1 win.

Forrestfield scored three relatively easy goals before half-time before Matt Clarke pulled one back for Ellenbrook with a rasping shot from outside the area that flew into the top corner.

However, Forrestfield kept applying pressure and added two more goals as they finished the game much the stronger team.

There was a lot of hard work from the Ellenbrook boys but again mistakes at this level are costly.

They will give head coach Sean Doyle plenty to think about for next week’s game against Fremantle United at Arbor Grove.

The Reserves suffered a defeat as they went into half-time 3-1 down.

Charlie Burridges’ deflected shot was the only goal for the Brook.

Forrestfield piled on four more goals in the second half to run out 7-1 winners.
