Cricket: Perth Scorchers to launch PlayCricket Week at Ellenbrook Secondary

THE Perth Scorchers will take over Ellenbrook Secondary College Oval on Saturday, August 12 to help launch PlayCricket Week.

The event which will run from 1pm to 4pm at the Library Avenue ground.

It includes a sausage sizzle, inflatable cricket net, spot prizes and appearances by Perth Scorchers players and club mascots Blaze and Amber.

A Milo T20 Blast pop up session will run from 2pm to 4pm for kids aged 7 to 12.

Cricket fanatic Pearce MHR Christian Porter will officially launch the celebrations.

WACA game and market development general manager Jo Davies said the national campaign was a fantastic way for kids to try their hand at cricket and sign up to their local club for summer.

“We’re excited to be hosting our first ever metropolitan launch for PlayCricket in Ellenbrook and can’t wait to showcase just how exciting and fun cricket is to the local community,” Ms Davies said.
