Football: Ellenbrook Eels make it four from four in final round

Callum WhiteThe Advocate

THE Ellenbrook Senior Football Club has finished off the home and away season strongly, recording four wins for the third week in a row.

With finals starting this weekend, the club is hoping to continue its form over the next few weeks.

The league side consolidated a finals spot in round 17 with a win over Dianella Morley, but earned the right to host the elimination final this weekend after defeating second-placed Nollamara 15.19 (109) to 8.5 (53).

The side played some great team football and will look to repeat the dose on Manning in week one of the finals.

The reserves finished second after defeating Nollamara 14.6 (90) to 8.5 (53), and will play Piara Waters in the qualifying final.

With the sides splitting the two games during the year, it should be a tight encounter.

The colts also finished second after defeating Secret Harbour in a tight match by seven points, and will face them again this week in the qualifying final.

These teams are both one apiece as well, so this weekend’s game should be an interesting one.

The young Eels knocked off both of the other top three teams in the last fortnight, and can hopefully take that momentum into the finals.

The thirds had a win by forfeit after their hard slog away win against Swan Valley last weekend.

They finished fourth and will be play Brentwood Booragoon in the elimination final.
