Ellenbrook Eels lost away to second placed Dianella Morley by 20 points in C3 grade amateur football on Saturday.
As expected, the game was fast-paced from the first siren and the lead changed several times.
Ellenbrook had most of the ball throughout the game but failed to capitalise on their opportunities in the forward line.
The 13.9 (87) to 10.7 (67) loss now puts the Eels into fourth position on the ladder with one game remaining against Brentwood who sit in second last position.
The Ellenbrook reserve grade managed a 78-point win to hold on to top position and the colts continued their winning form with a 36-point win over the Cobras.
The Masters team played on Sunday against the mighty Bulls and managed a one-goal win. The Eels went into the last quarter up by six goals and nearly lost the game but the hard working backline stopped the Bulls rampage.
